The regular file upload field does not have a progress bar to how many percent is already uploaded upon submission. But you should be able to see the status of the submission on either the bottom-left or bottom-right of the browser, while on actual submission.
But if you want to see an actual progress bar on your upload, I would recommend to make use of the multi-upload field instead. To do this, just select your existing regular file upload field and then enable Allow Multiple

NOTE: Please take note however, that the single (regular) file upload field does not work the same as a multiple file upload field. If you already have submissions under the regular file upload field, switching it to multiple file upload field may have the tendency of losing the files from the submissions page (due to how the field works on the back-end). This means you cannot just switch the field anytime.
