Google Drive Integration: Can we have an option to disable 'Submission PDFs' sending?

Unwanted PDF file appears when uploading to Google Drive

How do I stop the PDF document from being uploaded when I use Jotform to upload an image? I don't want these stray PDF files in my GoogleDrive folder.

    Hi,

I checked our integrations with Google Drive and Dropbox. We do create PDF files of your submissions and send them because they are the actual submissions you get. Imagine you have a survey form with no file uploads. All the information you can get through your submissions should be in these PDF files. We can only send the submission data in PDF form to your Dropbox and Google Drive.

In your case, I mean image uploading, PDFs look like extras since the images themselves are enough to see. However, in other cases PDFs are a must. Because of this, there is not an option to remove PDF version of submissions.

Please contact us again if you need any further assistance. And thank you for bringing this up.

It is disappointing that Jotform thinks it knows best for its users. While there are surely use-cases where this PDF output would be helpful, off the top of my head I can think of a half dozen pretty straightforward reasons the PDF inclusion is detrimental to a work flow. Including an entire project I will now need to move do a different form service.

This should be an easy toggle on/off option so that your users/developers are not saddled with unwanted data.

Thank you for your feedback. We have raised a feature request ticket to our developers, but we cannot provided any ETA for when it can be implemented.

This thread will be updated if we have any news.
