I have a mileage calc widget to help calculate a delivery fee.
(Wish this widget was designed to allow the fields in a calculation, it's clunky and not great for a user experience this way, I've read this remark in several posts)
If the client refreshes the page for whatever reason, this widget becomes inoperable vs. returning to it's original state.

If I understood you, you would like to have that field prepopulated with values inputted before your client filled the form with same values after the refresh. I'm afraid that that is not possible with this widget. Widgets are working in separate frames so they are not acting the same like other, regular fields.
If your clients refresh the page, they will have to input the values in Mileage calculator again.
If you have additional questions or had something else in mind please let us know.
Thank you!

I understand that this widget has separate frames. Clunky, but that is not the issue, just a request to change it.
If you hit refresh, the widget no longer works. These are business addresses.

The distance calculated by the widget can be used in the calculations by using the calculation widget.
So that you may use the value for further calculation without entering the value manually.
As already explained by our colleague, unfortunately, the data filled in the widgets cannot be restored after refreshing the browser since they are being loaded in iframes and the local storage of the browser is based on the domain. The widgets on the form are using a different domain.
Hope this information helps!

Which calculation widget and which browser are you using? Mine does not look like the one in your video.

I tried a different browser. The calc widget had disappeared from my favorites in Firefox
I have it working now. Thank you.
I read about 8 posts about automatically calculating as I did, and the answers all came back - you can't do that.
Thank you very much.

I am using Google chrome on a Windows machine. However, I have tested the form in Firefox which is working fine. Glad to see that it is working now at your end. Please do not hesitate to get back to us if you need any further assistance. We will be happy to help.
Thank you for using JotForm!
