I'd love to have a form for event registration as well as one for checking in those people who have registered or show up that day.
I imagine it working like this: They register online in advance in form A then a few weeks later at said event I pull up the check in form and can scroll to said persons name select that they made it to the event then submit as well as add new registrations the day of. Perhaps I'd use the old form and then check them in...
We want this because we have people that register and then don't show up we bill based on who actually shows up but like to try to get a good estimate as early as we can.

My recommendation would be to create an Event Feedback Form for the users that participated in your event.
So that, you can check who attended to your event. Also, you can learn their opinion.
Moreover, you can export the submissions list as an Excel or PDF form for both forms and then you can compare them. You can have an idea about your future event based on this report.
