Why as a sub-user do I not have the same account settings as the owner?

I am a sub-user under a paid premium plan. I got an email saying that I'd used my 1000 daily API connections because I have a free account. If I am listed as a sub-user, why is my account free? It seems like I should have the same allotments as the paid account owner or at least share their total available submissions, views, etc. Thanks for your help. 

I checked your account and you're under the free plan. Keep in mind that sub-user can only manage the forms of the main account. They don't share or will be getting the same limit with the main account. Sub-users are independent account.
