I am a teacher, and would possibly have need of using JotForm only during certain months out of the year. If I were to receive an education discount, and then adjust my subscription (down to free when I don't need it), then when I jump back up to a paid subscription, would I have to reapply for the education discount or would it always be linked to my account?

As far as I know when you cancel your upgraded plan with the educational discount and if you want to re-upgrade again with the discount you should follow the links that were initially provided in the confirmation email.
Confirmation email is the email that you get when your application for the educational discount is approved.
I still need confirm that you can do it tough. However, as far as I know this is the process. I will provide the proper feedback in a timely manner.
