Stripe Form: Is there validations for payment input data?Asked by fredpiq on November 10, 2016 at 07:08 PM
Thank you for answering my first message.
I've followed your instructions carefully and the form now detects invalid credit card information or not.
But I'm still having three big issues:
- Can this module check the card holder identity ? (I can type any name with my credit card info, there is no error message)
- No security code check
- No expiration date check
Are there any solution to those issues?
Thank you for your help.
stripe form validations
It seems that the validation on your Stripe field is not working since your product is free (payment details are not required).
It should work properly when you mark the Stripe field as required and add some non-free products.
As far as I understand, the name data is not checked by Stripe during transactions, so that your clients will be able to submit any names.
If you need any further assistance, please let us know.
There is really no other entity than the financial institute issuing the credit card that could check the identity of the customer. Stripe and other payment gateways will not check the name or the identity but only if the credit card information are correct.
Like my colleague mentioned, the amount must also be non-free otherwise you won't be able to get the card through the payment provider.
Thank you very much
