That’s how many users have signed up for Jotform so far this year, putting us over the 4 million mark in total.
As exciting as this is, I will never forget our humble beginnings.
I started Jotform as a side project, not sure if it would be successful or if it would fail. But my goals weren’t centered around making it big; they were aimed at creating a product that would help people collect important information and make their lives easier.
Throughout the years, Jotform has had a lot of highs and lows. We’ve experimented, we’ve grown personally and professionally, and we’ve learned a lot.
As 2018 comes to a close, I’m truly amazed at where Jotform stands. From adding to our feature-rich product to increasing our revenue by 50 percent to hitting over 4 million users to growing our company from 95 to 145 employees, this year, in particular, has been quite incredible.
We’ve been fortunate to launch a number of products, such as Cards, Enterprise, and PDF Editor. We’ve also had quite a few integration releases with top payment processors and productivity apps — all things our users can benefit from.
I’d like to take a moment to reflect on some of this year’s big milestones.
Best of 2018
After months of development, Jotform Cards was released in February. The goal of this revolutionary product was to give our users an additional form layout option that was visually interesting and mobile friendly. It includes features that encourage form respondents to complete their forms, such as a progress bar; micro-animations; icons and emojis; smart embed; autofill; and more.
Providing secure ways for users to collect important data continues to be a top priority for JotForm. Many of our users work in healthcare and need a secure way to gather sensitive patient medical data, which, in turn, led us to become certified as HIPAA compliant. Our goal for this important feature, available through our Gold plan, was simple: make it accessible and affordable.
As Jotform has grown and matured as a company, we understand that teams need powerful tools to ensure they can easily collaborate with one another. That’s why in September, we launched Jotform Enterprise, a tool that provides more power to the corporate form-building process. Jotform Enterprise comes with features such as Single Sign-on, user management, and a dedicated support team assigned to your account.
Turning collected form data into polished, professional-looking PDFs wasn’t the easiest thing until we released PDF Editor. With this tool, organizations small and large can automate their workflows and easily share PDFs with colleagues, partners, and customers. We’ve seen nonprofits, small businesses, and big teams successfully implement PDF Editor into their business operations, and we couldn’t be happier.
Besides our milestones, this year we also had numerous mini launches with payment and productivity integrations. Our goals are always user-focused and our aim is to always have the best tools available to make information collection easy.
