Tinley Park Public Library plays a vital role in enriching its community with dynamic resources, exceptional service, and reliable information in a comfortable, welcoming space.
Over the years, the library’s ability to respond efficiently to the needs of its community has greatly improved, spurred on by assistant director Sarah Schroeder’s initial goal to migrate paper-based request forms online.
“The traditional printed request forms were incredibly difficult to track, monitor, and process,” says Schroeder. “We decided to go with Jotform Enterprise in part because of the reviews about how mobile-friendly it was and also because of the app integrations.”

Schroeder’s first effort involved creating a ticketing system to assign tasks to the library’s marketing department.
“We took advantage of Jotform’s flexibility with integrations because using Jotform Enterprise with Asana seemed like a very easy way to handle that,” she says. “Since then, we’ve switched from Asana to Notion, but we’re still using Jotform Enterprise. It’s been a very effective tool for us.”
Engaging community members with Jotform Enterprise
When the Tinley Park Library’s website was redesigned, online forms were implemented to provide new ways for the public to engage with library staff and services.

Tinley Park Library is also using Jotform Enterprise to connect with local schools.
“Teachers can request school visits on our website or submit their student’s artwork for display in the library’s Youth Services Department,” says Schroeder.
Leveraging an integration with PayPal, Tinley Park Library has also begun collecting fines and donations online.

The staff can also use no-code conditional logic within the forms to streamline form filling and set up easy-to-customize email auto-responders to thank their customers and donors for their contributions.
According to Schroeder, “Jotform Enterprise is immensely flexible and very intuitive to use.”
Quick and easy onboarding process
“It was very easy for us to onboard,” says Schroeder. There are a handful of staff who actively create and manage the library’s forms, and everybody else on the team can take advantage of using them, including the HR department, which processes employment applications through Jotform Enterprise.
“I just used it the other day to poll our staff about implementing multifactor authentication and how they want to be contacted,” says Schroeder. “We use it constantly.”
Recognizing progress and seeing potential with Jotform Enterprise
What started with Schroeder’s simple goal to move away from paper has resulted in a cascade of changes that directly benefit the Tinley Park Public Library and its community.
As staff adopt new tools to modernize their processes, Schroeder and her colleagues recognize the positive changes that they’ve brought to fruition and look forward to uncovering new ways to improve.
