How to Show or Hide Products in a Product List Using Conditions

October 14, 2026

Jotform’s Update Product List condition lets you dynamically show or hide individual items in your product list based on specific conditions. This gives you more control over which products respondents can see, helping you create a more personalized form experience.

Before You Begin

Make sure you’ve added a Product List and another form element, like a Dropdown or Short Text field, to your form. You’ll use this field to set the condition.

You can easily set up the Update Product List condition in a few steps. Here’s what to do:

  1. In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page, click on Settings.

  1. Next, in the Update Product List section, configure these fields to set an If rule for your condition:
    • IF — Click on the Downward Arrow icon and select the form field you want the condition to check from the dropdown menu. You can use the search bar at the top of the menu to find a field easily.
    • STATE — Click on the Downward Arrow icon and select how you want the condition to evaluate the selected field. You can use the search bar at the top of the menu to find an option.
    • VALUE — Depending on the selected state, enter or select the value you want to compare against the selected field. This field may not appear for every condition.

  • If you add multiple If rules, select All to trigger the condition only when every rule is met, or Any to trigger it when at least one rule is met.
  1. Once everything’s set, click on Save.
