Asked on December 16, 2015 at 5:23 PM

I am trying to add a payment tool to the form I'm creating. I get an error stating: "You cannot add more than one payment tool. Please delete the existing one first." However, I do not have any payment tools added to the form, AND I would like to have two payment options.

I also need help setting up recurring payments
    . Please advise.

Thank you. I would like to add PayPal and credit card options. I tried to send a test donation, but I wasn't given the option to input my payment or PayPal information.

Yes, following the guide I provided above you can add more than one payment option, however , I think just using PayPal you can allow your users to pay using their PayPal account or just using their CC info without creating an account in PayPal.

You can also use the PayPal Pro integration in order to allow your users to enter their info directly in your form, instead of doing it on the PayPal page, take a look to this link, you will find more info about PayPal and PayPal Pro : http://www.jotform.com/help/183-Difference-Between-PayPal-PayPal-Pro

On this link you will get more info about PayPal forms  : http://www.jotform.com/help/50-PayPal-Forms and here you will get info about how to pass a calculation value to a payment field : http://www.jotform.com/help/275-How-to-pass-a-calculation-to-a-payment-field

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks.

Unfortunately it is not yet possible to have both a recurring subscription and custom donation amount on JotForm at this time.

So the form you showed cannot be created on a single form that is exactly similar when using the Form Builder. You will need to have 2 Forms that will do the 2 different type of payment option.

BUT if its OK for a bit of give and take on feature, I think using the Recurring Payment option can work as well.

    user guide: How-to-setup-a-recurring-payment-option

Just use the 'Donation Amount' as the options in the subscription payment option.

Something similar to the screenshot below

Let us know your feedback on this.

For now, I also have submitted a feature request ticket to our higher team support. The feature is to have Custom Subscription Payment option using the Payment Tools.

    Thanks.

    Correction:

It is now actually possible to have Subscription with Custom Amount.

There is now a 'Variable Price' option that can be enabled for Subscription Type of Payment.

So in your case it will be similar to this form https://form.jotform.com/53497186273971?

We set up a PayPal Pro account. Getting API credentials is not as easy as you guys make it seem, especially since PayPal has changed its interface significantly, and "To be able to receive payments, you will need a PayPal Website Payments Pro account . Then log into your PayPal account and get details on the left side from My Account -> Profile -> Request API credentials link" is not the solution to this any more.

Please advise as to how to set this up based on the current PayPal interface. Thanks. This is what PayPal has by way of obtaining an API: https://developer.paypal.com/docs/classic/api/apiCredentials/

I am sorry but I was not able to fully understand the issue on your latest response.

The Paypal Pro Payment tool is readily available in the Form Builder to add on the form.

How to have a Recurring Donation Amount Payment options using Payment Tools Image 1 Screenshot 20

With PayPal Pro, you'll need to file a business credit application to Paypal for your account to be upgraded to PayPal Pro before you can start selling.

Can you please clarify that you were not able to use the Paypal Pro payment on your form?

Hope this help. Let us know how we can be of further help.

Sorry to be a pain, and maybe you've sent me this already, but this is what I need one my form: Credit card options and a PayPal option - DONE! However, I also need to add the following:

    1. Recurring option- seems I cannot add this IN ADDITION to having the PayPal and CC option.

    2.

The option to add a Tribute or Memorial Gift option (that will be directed to a different page).

Please advise. I'm not super technical to adding the whole widget thing is a foreign language to me. LOL!

    Thanks!

    For #1

    Please open this form https://form.jotform.com/53497186273971?

How to have a Recurring Donation Amount Payment options using Payment Tools Image 1 Screenshot 20

As you can see there is sample Recurring Payment optoin on the form. And there is option to pay using Paypal or Credit Card payment.

All of this was possible using only the Paypal Pro tool (you have a Paypal Pro account so you can use this)

I hope this is clearer now. Let us know how we can help further.

    For #2

We will resolve it separately here http://www.jotform.com/answers/728287

You will need to add the PayPal Pro widget to your form, then after inputting your API credentials set up your products as subscriptions.

Yes, but you can only have one: Subscription OR donation. It doesn't seem like you can have both.... Also, I was able to get the code for my web site. I did a test run using PayPal as a donor would. I was never given the option to log into my PayPal account and approve any donation as is standard with PayPal. I was immediately sent a Thank You page. PayPay requires log-in credentials of anyone who sends us a donation.... Please advise. Thank you for all of your help!

Subscriptions are recurring payments, donations are one time payments.  You can either do recurring payments or one time payments.

If you are using credits cards directly in the form with PayPal Pro, this does not require PayPal log in for any transactions.  If you need to require PayPal log in, you would need to use regular PayPal and disable the credit card option.  The purpose of the PayPal Pro field is to allow users to pay directly in the form without ever having to go to PayPal.
