Invite by Email: Invited users are required to create or sign in to their Jotform account

    Hello,

I am a new customer of JOT. I created a scholarship application form and need to send it to my entire university staff (a few thousand folks). When I tried to test it with the link, it required the individual to sign in. Is this the process, or is there another way to do this?

    Thanks,

    Hi Lisa,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I checked the form, and it appears that you have set the form to Private Form. If the form is set to Private Form, it will require the users who are invited to access your form. You will need to change the access settings to Public Form so your users won't be required to create a Jotform account. Let me show you how:

    1. Click the Publish tab in Form Builder.
    2. Under Quick Share, click the Settings link at the top-right of the form’s direct URL.

    3. Then, set the Access Settings to Public Form.

In addition, when you invite a user to fill out your form using the Invite by email, they are required to have a Jotform account. There's no option to use that feature, and not require the user not to sign up for an account with Jotform or log in to their account.

A workaround for this is just to copy the form URL and send the invitation email using your email service. Once the recipient receives the email that came from you, the user should be able to open the form without needing to log in.
