How to revert a form to an earlier version saved with V3 Form Builder

I recently was accidently converted up to V4.

    I reverted to V3.

Somehow, this has deleted my background image (the blue sky with clouds) and deleted my settings for the form background (which was partially transparent white with 'radius' rounded corners).

Also, it seems like when I go to Preview, every single 'Spacer' widget is failing - instead of the requisite space, it has a large blank block (probably 400 or 500 pixels) and some text indicated the number of pixels it should be!

Also - feeback for developers of V4:

It seems that V4 does not allow for text breaks. EVERY instance throughout my form where I had used a <br> was undone.

Also, almost every place where there was punctuation - particularly & or ' or " was converted to its code (is that hex? I'm not sure) - Painful!

Thank you for trying out V4 and providing your feedback. Considering there seem to have been multiple changes which you did not want to occur, I would recommend using our Form Revision History feature and reverting your form back to the last version you saved in V3, when it worked the way you wanted:

    https://www.jotform.com/help/294-How-to-view-form-revision-history

V4 has improved security measures, which do not allow using custom HTML tags in some places where they could have been used in V3. This is why <br> tags may have been showing as text instead of HTML, though some HTML tags such as <br> will likely be allowed soon.

    Thank you.

This is not a good enough response. I need help to fix the problems as i
have sonce made changes to my form which i will lose if i use the form
    revision history tool.
I described the problems in the original post to this thread.
Also...why are the spacer widgets failing on preview?
(I'm responding to this from my email...and sometimes your system doesn't
send me an email...so this may have been answered directly on the thread.
Pls advise if this is the case)

Is this the background image that you are using: https://www.jotform.com/images/themes/clouds.jpg? Please confirm so I can add this in your form.

The semi-transparent form frame is still there actually, you just can't see it because the background image is not there.

The spacer widget somehow got corrupted after you open the form in version 4. They need to be re-added. I'm doing this now. Please don't edit your form until I say so.

I'm done fixing the spacer widget. The other works fine so I did not replace them. Please check again.

Yes Welvin, the clouds jpg above is the correct one. Please add for me.

While the semi-transparent border is there (as you've stated above), the 'radius' property giving it 'rounded' corners is not...can you help with CSS or where else I must go to replace this characteristic?

Thanks for your work with the spacer widgets...I will now test and see if all is well. I will update this thread if not.

So...i am going through my form and there are still some MAJOR problems that I can see at this stage (different to those above).

I hope there is some simple fix for this...

It seems that none of the Form Collapse widgets close when the next form collapse is opened.

A significant number of my fields are in their correct place in builder, but are behaving differently (and appearing in the wrong place) in preview...

This is only a partial list to explain the problem (I'm sure there are many more...). I wasn't going to write a whole list out in case there is a simple back-end fix you can apply...

    Examples:

Title appears at the end of the name line, not at the beginning

Preferred name (when conditionally appears), appears at the start of the line not at the end

Height and Weight are not on their own line (despite being arranged that way in builder)

Postal question not on it's own line

Order of postal address fileds is wrong

Email appears between phone number fields, not on its own line

Emergency contact name appears at the end of the line, not the beginning

Are you supported... and Does someone else pay your account appear on one line before an option is selected (they should be on their own individual lines), then when their YES option is selected, the fields are in the wrong order...

Please help! This is all because of V4 stuffing up my form I'm sure!

Ian, I have been following the new thread, but in creating that new thread, the comment before it has not been responded to (actioned).

    Copied here for convenience...

I had added the cloud background to the page.

    Hope this helps

Thanks Ian, both the background and the rounded corners are now visible in preview, thank you.

In the past they have also been visible in builder, but this is not currently the case for me.

Do you have any idea why?
