How to View Form Revision History

How to View Form Revision History

Just click the green circular arrow below the Form Name to launch the Revision History wizard.

Form Revision History makes it possible for you to review older versions of your forms and when necessary, revert your form back to an older version. It is a big time saver. You can now work faster without worrying about messing your forms. If a form is broken simply travel back to a time in which your form worked properly.

How to View Form Revision History

1. Go to the MY FORMS page and select the form.

2. Click the MORE ▼ button.

3. Select the REVISION HISTORY option.

4. On the left side, you will see a list of revisions for your form.

Browse the versions on the left nav and review the changes by clicking on a version on the left side. The middle frame shows a preview of your form and the right side has a list of changes you have done on that version. Click the REVERT TO THIS VERSION button to bring back the old changes.

Our Edom Area Chamber of Commerce Membership application stopped processing PayPal/credit card payments.

I reverted the Form Back to earlier revision where it indicated I undone PayPal but it still doesn’t work. The “wait button” Just keeps spinning.

Behind the scenes It says I haven’t finished integrating the payment integration. I don’t know how to do that & hope you can help revert it back.

I am trying to revert to an older version and it is not really doing it. Please help.

Best would be to set back to September version.

Deleted cache and followed other instructions. Now my browser history is gone but cannot get to old version.

  • kamomedan

I have tried this and it is not working. I have tried clearing caches and cookies and tried on both Microsoft and Google Chrome browsers, and it will not let me revert back to earlier form history. it says it has reverted but keeps using current form.

Hi I used this function, and it worked - but I seem to have lost all data associated with the field I reverted back to irretrievably. To be clear, the form is reverted back to the way it was before I deleted the field I need, but all past data associated with said field has been lost. So I need help recovering it!

i was testing with adding a question, then changed my mind. Used revision history to restore old version, and it reset all the formatting, conditions, css code and removed some questions on my form. I can still preview previous version, but not revert back to them.

I HAVE to get them back, can you please help?

  • Trouble reverting to versions earlier than a few minutes

Worked all day on a form and was finishing up by removing fields that I did not need from the middle of the form to the end. Realized after deleting several fields that JotForm was deleting the fields above where I wanted to delete fields. Tried to go as far back as possible to recover my days long work but only had an option of going as far BACK as 20 minutes. PLEASE HELP. Hours of work lost.

Hello I accidentally deleted an entire form. Is there a way I can retrieve it? I am also out of submissions so it is not showing me a way to make any changes. I actually wanted to delete the submission but accidentally deleted the entire form.

    Good morning,

I am trying to revert a change that was made 3-20-2018 16:26 Application Security Service.
I click the revert box and nothing happens.

  • kristinemusaraca

The revert version doesn't "stick" when reverted. If you navigate to the form list/inventory then back to the reverted form, it does not appear as it should.

  • Procycle

If you revert to an older version of your form, will you lose any submissions, or will they remain?

  • creekcavaliers

This is the first time I have used your product. Mid way through, all of my input is gone. I have followed your steps and I see my fields on the right but when I click revert, nothing happens. What am I doing wrong?

  • ghala_tiano

Revert To This Version is not working, the new updated form keeps appearing. Is this process broken?

  • HCCB

JotForm is a joy to use.

I set up our contact form pretty quickly.

However, now that we want to change it I've noticed the lack of versioning.

What I mean is that when I edit the form it gets auto saved which means our production (public) form is incomplete until I finish the modifications.

What I'd rather have is versioning, meaning that once I'm done with modifications I'll click a "Publish" button which will mark the version as 2 (if that's the 2nd time the form is made public) and only then will replace the current form publically.

This would also make going back to an earlier version of the form very easy.

Right now this can only be achieved by duplicating the form every time one wants to change it.

The instructions above do not make sense to me. When I click the "More" button, the only options are: Archive, Form, Mark All as Read, Enable (which is greyed out), and Disable. I do notice a button called "Submissions" which is on the save level as the "More" button, but when I click that, I see a few submissions, but there is no option to "Revert to this Version".

    merci çà marche.

  • Jena2016

    Thank you - very helpful.

  • kimberlyparis

Yes, please if you could help me that would be great. What I did was use one of the online employment application templates - which I used the fields but updated the titles, deleted fields, added fields, etc. to make the form fit my needs. Yikes, now the submitted form I receive indicates that it is for a Salon and the fields are not updated -- an example is that I changed references to Emergency contacts and I changed resume submission to uploading health permits and business licenses. The form online looks great but it is very confusing for me when I get the submitted form document.
Not sure how to fix this so I thought I would see what your advice would be on this.

Thank you so much for our guidance. (: Sincerely, Kimberly
