I see you had some similar interest to the outdated thread you followed up about setting favorites for forms that are shared with you as a sub-account user, correct?
Unfortunately, as of right now this is not currently possible because there is not a "star" icon next to the forms shared with you.
I believe that it may have been intentionally left out to prevent confusion between your account forms and the forms that are shared with you if set as a favorite together.
However, I think I understand how it might be helpful if there's a lot of forms shared with you. So perhaps it might be somewhat feasible or at least if related partially to those shared forms.
I've opened up a feature request for this on your behalf for consideration by our developers and if there's any changes we'll notify you here.

Hello rbarbieto,
We have good news for you! Your feature request has implemented on Jotform now.
Now, you can see a form which selected as 'favorite' in shared forms. In addition, you can directly view the favorite selected forms in your folders or shared with you.
Sub-user can only view favorited form but not change its status to preserve the ownership of form rights.
Example screenshots, how to see a form which shared with you and selected as 'favorite'::
Example screencast, the favorite list getting by you navigated the last selected folders or shared folders::
Thanks for your positive feedback.
Regards.
