Track conversions using Google Analytics

    Hello,

I need to track conversations (application submissions) on our website (www.akilahinstitute.org/apply) in Google Analytics. I would also like to track conversion sources. To accomplish this, I've set up two external thank-you pages. However, both forms (https://form.jotform.com/63013703302136 and https://form.myjotform.com/62353115900547) still revert to a thank-you message. I've included the redirect links in the settings for both forms, so I'm not sure why it's not working properly. Any recommendations?

Or, is there an easier/more accurate way to track conversions and conversion sources in GA?

    Thanks!

Please use the Google Analytics Widget http://widgets.jotform.com/widget/google_analytics to track the activities and behaviors of visitors on your form.

    Thanks!

    Hello,

Thank you for your answer, but my understanding is that the Google Analytics Widget does not track form submissions. (see forum answer here: https://www.jotform.com/answers/822739-How-does-the-Google-Analytics-widget-work). Has this changed?

This is why I set up the external thank-you pages. Would you have a solution to ensure that those redirect properly?

    Thank you!

Hello, the Google Analytics widget doesn't track (and will probably never track) Form Submissions. What it tracks are the activities done by your users/respondents on the form itself, similar to how GA works on a page where you have your tracking codes.

If you wish to track submissions, you would need to setup an external Thank You page (just like you mentioned), then place your tracking codes there to track submissions if needed.

    Complete guide: Redirecting-Users-to-a-Different-Page

Alternatively, you may always use our built-in Analytics Feature https://www.jotform.com/form-analytics/

    Hi Jim,

Thanks for your response and confirmation on GA.

This brings me back to my original question: Why are the thank-you page redirects not working?

I've set up the external thank-you page redirects exactly as described in the guide; however, users still receive a thank-you message after submitting the form. This also happens in the preview version of the form.

What can I do to correct this issue?

    Thank you!

There are conditions which override the Thank You Page settings on your forms 63013703302136 and 62353115900547.

Please delete those conditions to fix the issue.
