Here's my problem:
I have three fields:
1) What group will be attending this meeting?
2) Area Breakouts
3) Region Breakouts
Within them, I have values assigned to specific groups.
Below them is a field:
How many people will be attending this meeting?
In this field, if ONLY What group will be attending this meeting? I need to get the sum of ALL groups selected.
If instead either, a selection is made in Area Breakouts OR Region Breakouts , then I need ONLY whatever that value is selected, to populate the How many people will be attending this meeting? field.
The values in these two sections- Area Breakouts OR Region Breakouts-
TRUMP the values in What group will be attending this meeting?-- And those values should be shown in How many people will be attending this meeting?i.e.: in What group will be attending this meeting? DXS AE. with a total number of attendees being 76.
in Area Breakouts, the Area Business Meeting - Central, is ticked, with a values of 25.
In the field How many people will be attending this meeting? I need it to recognize the lesser value of 25 (and NOT the 76 which is also ticked)
If the groups weren't broken up into "Area" or "Region", I need the field How many people will be attending this meeting? to be populated by the total of just the What group will be attending this meeting? field.
Is this done with a form calculation widget or can it simply be done by using "CONDITIONS"?
The simpler the better!
Any help is extremely appreciated.

No.. it's question/problem similar, however the details of the question is different on this one.
Hopefully, you can still help me.
I'm trying to find the simplest solution to the problem stated above. That's why the questions look so similar.
I've been trying to solve this problem for days.. and every time I feel like i might come up with a different solution, I STILL get stuck on either "Conditions" or " Formulas".
Please help.
Thank you in advance.

I am not sure if I understand your requirement correctly, but before I proceed I found that the the calculation field itself was not calculating correctly , because of the + operand missing
The above fix now calculates correctly
If you could elaborate In the field How many people will be attending this meeting? I need it to recognize the lesser value of 25 (and NOT the 76 which is also ticked), I will investigate further

First off, thank you Ian for taking the time to try and fix my problem.
let me see if I can elaborate further to make it clearer. So we have a field with the question: What group will be attending this meeting?
And each group in that field, has a value associated with it.
IF this is the only field that groups are clicked, I need the field with the question: How many people will be attending this meeting- To be populated with the sums of all of those groups that were clicked.
Meanwhile, the fields marked: Area Breakouts & Region Breakouts, are "Sub-Groups" of the original: What group will be attending this meeting- So the values associated with the groups in those headings are less than the original group.
If a group in either of these two fields are clicked, I need those numbers to populate the field: How many people will be attending this meeting, rather than the values associated with the FIRST filed which was: What group will be attending this meeting?
The values in these two sections- Area Breakouts OR Region Breakouts-
TRUMP the values in What group will be attending this meeting?--And those values should be shown in How many people will be attending this meeting.
Again, with regards to the field: How many people will be attending this meeting?
In this field, if selections are made ONLY in the field: What group will be attending this meeting? I need to get the sum of ALL groups selected to populate: How many people will be attending this meeting? .
If instead either, a selection is made in Area Breakouts OR Region Breakouts , then I need ONLY whatever that value is selected there, to populate the How many people will be attending this meeting? field.
I hope I've made it a bit clearer.
I'm really stuck here.
Can it simply be done by using "CONDITIONS" ?
The simplest solution.
Thank you again in advance!
