I did not save the form but the preview had the new field added

Also, I did the practicing of the Conditional on the 5 Can one time form and when I had problems I did not publish it; however, when I went to it on the website the form had the new field added. I had only selected Preview.

The new form builder will auto save the changes. Any changes on sections (those without a save button) will always get saved. You need to remove the conditional logic/new field to revert it. Or, revert it in the form revision history section:
