Is there a filed to allow a dollar value to be inserted?

You can simply add a text box or a number field if you want your users to insert a number value.
If you will use the text box field (Short Text Entry ), you can see additional options there like "Validation" and "Input Mask". To access those:
1. First, select the "Text Box" field, and click the gear icon or "Properties" button.
2. Under the "Options" tab, you'll see additional settings like "Validation" and "Input Mask".
You can set the "$" sign in the label of the field. Or if you want it to be part of the input, then you can try forcing a $ sign by using input mask. Here's a guide to learn more about that: https://www.jotform.com/help/381-Getting-Started-with-the-Basics-of-Input-Masking.
You can also try using the Masked Input widget: https://widgets.jotform.com/widget/masked_input. To add a widget to your form, you can follow this guide: https://www.jotform.com/help/252-How-to-Add-a-Widget-to-your-Form.
I hope that helps.
