How to sell a customized product

We are doing an activation in which users will be getting bottle engraved. We are hoping to have form that they will fill our via iPad upon arrival that will collect their contact information along with what they would like engraved on the bottle. We are then hoping that person working the bottle engraving station will be able to see these requests coming in and start making/checking off the bottles, is this possible? Also when the bottle is done, is there a feature that allows us to use the contact information collected and notify them that their bottle is ready to be picked up?

Yes it should be possible. 

You need to collect the customer information ( name, email, phone )

Then you need to collect the customization option ( text, picture ) and assign a price accordingly.

How to Integrate Form with Paypal (Standard)  

Finally you need to add an approval style workflow. This requires a notification email for the engraving station and an edit link with condition to email he customer that their order is ready.
