Approval Workflow: Encountered "Invalid" message when trying to approve a submission

    Hi, we are having issues with an approval flow. One of the members is citing an error message when he tries to approve. It gives him a message saying "invalid." Any help is appreciated!

    Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Are you referring to the Approval Workflow on this form? As I checked, it seems you have multiple approvers on the workflow. Can you specify which email address encountered the "invalid" message when trying to approve a submission? Also, as the "Require Login for Approver" is currently enabled, can you confirm if that approver is currently logged in to their Jotform account with the same email address when they approve the submission?

    Thank you for your reply. The approver Tim is having trouble with the form. He has used it many times and approved many forms, but is only now seeing the error message. He is using the email address timothysricci@gmail.com

    Thanks for getting back to us. I’m really sorry that this is happening. Is this only happening when trying to approve a single submission? If so, can you share with us the Submission ID so that we can check? We have a guide about Where to Find the Submission ID that you can check out.

    Additionally, to troubleshoot the issue, please try the steps below:

    1. Clearing the cookies and the cache of your browser. This guide will show you how to do that.
    2. Try it on a different browser to see if it makes any difference.
    3. If possible for you, try it with a different internet connection
