I am creating a key tracker logbook.

    • Name: (Required)*
    • Email: (Required)*
    • Vehicle Number: (Required)*
    • Date: (Required)*
    • Remarks: (Required)*
    1. Key Collection Time: (Required)*

    [Submit Button] -1

    Key Handback Time

    [Re-submit Button] -2

    1. [Submit Button] leads to the "Approval Form," where the coordinator hands over the key to the registrar for their trip. Upon submission, the thank you card is modified from "Edit Submission" to "Key Handback Time," allowing the registrar to return to the form and complete the "Key Handback Time" field after completing their trip.

    2. [Re-submit Button] leads to another "Approval Form," where the coordinator confirms receiving the key back.

    can you do that??

    Hi bestops,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. For a general understanding of the form's functionality here in Jotform, it's not possible to create a form that submits two different actions. Each form created when submitted will be submitted to Jotform's database and associated with the identity of the form ID.

But with the intention that you would like to do, it's possible to redirect users after submission by using conditions utilizing the Get Form Page URL widget. We can help you set this with your form but first, we need to understand explicitly what fields are to be filled and the next steps that you would like to take. We'd appreciate it if you could explain to us in more detail the flow of this form so we can get an idea of how it should be built.

As soon as we hear back from you we'll be able to help you with this.

    Hi William,

Firstly, after the registrar completes the Key Collection Time: (Required)* field and submits the form, an approval email will be sent to the coordinator. Once the coordinator approves it, the registrar can commence their trip.

Upon completion of the trip and return to the office, the registrar will access the thank you card, which has been modified from "Edit Submission" to "Key Handback Time." The re

gistrar will then select "Key Handback Time," revisit the form, fill in the "Key Handback Time" field, and resubmit it. This ensures that all details are accurately recorded in a single Excel sheet, eliminating the need to manually copy information. Finally, a final summary report will be sent to three parties: the registrar, coordinator, and administrator.

    Hi bestops,

Thanks for getting back to us. Yes, this is possible using the Approval Flow. Let me show you how:

    1. On your Approval Page, click on the Approval element, and then enter the email address of the coordinator.
    2. Then, add an Email Element, and enter the Email Address of HR.Can I create two submit buttons that lead to two different actions? Image 1 Screenshot 40
    3. Next, click on the newly added email element, and click on the Envelope icon.
    4. Click Form Fields from the navigation bar, and select Edit Link.
    5. Finally, click on Save. Can I create two submit buttons that lead to two different actions? Image 2 Screenshot 51

Now, let me explain how it works. Once the user submits that form, and the coordinator approves it, a confirmation email will be sent to both the user and the HR. However, the email that HR will receive contains an edit link where they can edit the form and enter the Key Handback Time.

Keep in mind that you will need to turn off the Restart Approval Flow on Submission Edit, so the approval flow will not be triggered again.

For your other question, I moved it to a different thread to avoid confusion. You can find it here.
