My recipients are receiving a link that won’t open so they can take the survey

    Hi Steven,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Can you please explain how are you sending the link to your survey to your recipients and can you take a screenshot of what's happening and share it with our Support Forum so that I can have a better idea of what's going on and help you with this? This guide will show you how to do that.

As soon as we hear back from you, we'll be able to move forward with a solution.

    First I tried this

    Then this

    then this

When sending it to myself, I get a summary of the content of the form but no checkboxes.

One person received the email with the link but it didn't open or didn't go to the fillable form.

    Clearly I'm missing something.

I did notice in one of these steps that a free account is limited to only one recipient !

    Hi Steven,

Thanks for getting back to us with screenshots. I checked your form and saw that its access setting is set to Private. Did the form fillers run into the 404-error message, similar to the one in the screenshot below?

Invited form fillers cant access my form Screenshot 30Note that form fillers will be required to log in to their Jotform account when accessing a Private form. Aside from that, I saw in your screenshots that you're sharing the form link with the form fillers using the Invite by Email feature, and the Share on Email feature. Note that even if the form access setting is changed to Public, they will still be asked to log in when accessing the form, since you're using the Invite by Email and Share on Email features.

If you don't want to require your form fillers to log in when opening the form, you can set the form access setting to Public, and share the form URL to them by copying the direct link, and manually send it to them. Let me show you how to do that:

    1. In Form Builder, click on Publish in the orange navigation bar at the top part of the page.
    2. Under Quick Share, click on Private Form, and select Public Form. Close the pop-up window by clicking on the X button.
    3. To copy the link, click on the green Copy Link button, and send it to the form fillers.
