Approval Flow: How does the "Request More Information" option work?

I have created a form with four levels of approval. In the advanced settings for the approvers, I turned on the "Request More Information" option. When and how will this appear to the approver? Right now, we don't see any option to request more information when it arrives to the inbox to "Approve" or "Deny" in the "Your Action Required" email.

    Hi GHNI,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Once your approval is triggered, your Approver receives an email. In the email, once your approver click on Approve, Deny or Inbox, they would be redirected to a new page to add the comment. Check out this screenshot of my email:

This is not what I'm asking. The approver wants the option to request more information BEFORE having to approve/deny. That's what it JotForm states where I circled in red. Please see that screenshot.

    Hi GHNI,

Thanks for getting back to us. I am really sorry for the confusion. Please note that when you enable the "Request More Information" option on the Approval Flow, the approver can request more information on the Inbox. On the Right side of the Approval Step, there will be a Three vertical dots icon, and when it will be clicked, the "Request More Information" option will be displayed and can be selected. Check out the screenshots below to see my results:

This is how the Approver can ask more information to the user.

Give it a try and reach out again if you have any other questions.

The above help was not helpful because you show in the window what I can see from the JotForm administrator, but not what the appover sees in their email. The approver does not have such access to JotForm.

This is what populates in the approver's email notification (no three dots to select "Request More Information").

    Hi GHNI,

Thanks for your patience, we appreciate it. In the email received by the approver, they need to click Go to Inbox.

If the approver is not login to their Jotform account they will be directed to a page where they can approve and leave a comment. Take a look at the screenshot below:

If the approver is logged in to their Jotform account, they will be redirected to their Jotform Inbox once they click Go to Inbox. Check out the screencast below:

For the approver to be directed to the Jotform submission inbox they need to have an account and log in. You can inform your approvers to create a Jotform account.

Let us know if you have any other questions.
