More function options would be nice to have in calculation.

I think a mod function would be pretty handy. More date string options would be nice too. If I want the current month as a number, for example, there doesn't seem to be a good way to do it without a lot of manual calculation.

    Hi JoshS,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Yes, the Mod() is not yet available on our function list for the calculation. Yes, I do also believe there should be more function to get the calculation faster in the form.

So, I've gone ahead and escalated your request to our developers, but when or if it's developed depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users also request it. If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.

It would be great if you could let us know some of the function that might be useful for you so we can recommend our developer to implement it in futre.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, we appreciate it.

    Ravi,

Thanks for getting back to me. I think functions to get the month, day of the month, and year from a given date would all be very useful. I know these can be replicated with the substring widget, but this solution requires user input, so there's no way to get the current month or day or year without making the user manually fill the date field.

Somewhat unrelated from above, a Today() function would be useful for minimizing the need for hidden date fields.

Thanks for hearing my suggestions out.

    Hi JoshS,

To avoid confusion, I have moved your suggestion about Today() to this thread.

Let us know if there’s anything else we can help you with.
