Need to clarify a few things about Subusers

I have a hard time understanding how it works.

If the parent account has the GOLD level.

And the child account has the gold level.

-Would each account pay 100$ per month?

-Could the child account change level at any point in time if Parent account always stay GOLD?

-Can the child account have forms that only he can see?

    - If parent account shares a form with various children accounts. How does reporting works?  There is a report at each child level and another one at the parent level that includes all the children information?

-If parent account is a non-for-profit account?  Does child accounts benefit from the non-for-profit discount as well?  If they are clearly part of the same charity?

Thanks a lot in advance for clarifying all these questions.

UPDATE: Effective October 2018 the Sub-User feature has been discontinued and is no longer available for creating new sub-users. If you had been using this feature previously, you're grandfathered.

If you would like to have additional users added to your account, please check out JotForm Enterprise.

Hello Kaby - With the premise that both the parent and subuser are both in the GOLD PLAN, see my answers interspersed below:

    - Would each account pay 100$ per month?

    That's correct.

    - Could the child account change level at any point in time if Parent account always stay GOLD?

Sure, both account owners can change their subscription plan anytime they need to.

    - Can the child account have forms that only he can see?

Yes, that's possible too. The only time the parent account will see forms created by the subuser is when the subuser created the form on the parent account's folder.

    - If parent account shares a form with various children accounts. How does reporting works?  There is a report at each child level and another one at the parent level that includes all the children information?

When a form is shared to subusers, the reports will be the same across everyone (all subusers). This is because it will be the same form, thus generating the same report. I'm assuming you are referring to the different reports we discussed on the article below.

    - If parent account is a non-for-profit account?  Does child accounts benefit from the non-for-profit discount as well?  If they are clearly part of the same charity?

No, the subuser won't. Since they will have their own respective accounts, the subuser should apply for a nonprofit discount too if he's eligible.

To put it simply, a Subuser will have his own separate account (with a respective subscription level). The main goal of adding Subusers is to allow someone else to have these privileges:

    🔘 VIEW SUBMISSIONS

    🔘 EDIT FORMS

Subusers don't necessarily need to be on a paid subscription level for as long as they won't need the same limits as the parent account. If all they have to do is view/edit submissions or edit forms for the parent account, then even a free plan should suffice. Just ensure that the forms will be created on the parent account's folder.

All these and more were discussed and illustrated on the guide below.
