I am trying to add my Gmail as the other email so only my company shows up as the sender to my client not Jotform I have tried all of the replies within Jotform help even this latest answer from 9/11/2023 another customer had the same issue I had. Agent said they needed to sign in. There is no App Password Generator in my Gmail settings. Please assist

Here is a copy and paste of something I found in your related articles.

    Hi Heather,

Thanks for getting back to us. The error SMTP Authentication Error means that your credentials are not correct. Have you used the Generate App Password feature in your Google account? This may be the cause of the error on your end. Let me walk you through it:

First, you will be needing to generate an App Password from Google. Here's how:

    1. Click here to sign in to your Google account and access the App Password Generator.

    2. In the list of available apps, click on Mail.

    3. In the device list, click on Other.

    4. Enter your Custom Name, such as Jot form SMTP.
    5. Click on the Generate button. Copy and save the password to your computer.

    6. Finally, click the Done button.

Please save the password to use it again later in setting up the SMTP. If you don't save it, you'll have to generate a new one again, because Google doesn't let users view their passwords after they click the Done button.

Next, you can now set up your Sender Email.

    1. Click on your avatar at the top right corner of the page.

    2. Select Settings from the menu to open your Account Settings.

    3. Scroll down to the Sender Emails section, and click on the edit button.

    5. Enter the SMTP details. Add the App Generated Password on the Password field.

    6. If you are done, click the Send Test Email button to confirm that everything is working. If it works, click the Add Email button. Otherwise, correct the details.

    Hi Rides_Grizzly,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. The SMTP Error: Could not connect to SMTP Host appears if your SMTP settings are incorrect. Since you are trying to use your Google Workspace account as the SMTP you'll need to enable two-step verification for your Google account, to create an app-specific password for Jotform SMTP. We actually have a guide here you can check on how to use Gmail as your sender email via SMTP

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.
