How to Let Multiple Users Sign a Single Document

I'm creating a form that requires a student response and signature, followed by a parent signature. Once both signatures are complete, I need a finished PDF containing both signatures emailed to me. I have tried doing this through a regular form, an approval chain, and also through JotForm Sign, but unsuccessful with all. Can you advise?

    Thank you!

    Hi Jeff,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm sorry that you are having difficulties with this. Can you tell us the process of how you sent the forms that need to be signed? Also, you can easily do this by adding multiple signers on the Signable Document from the Jotform Sign Builder.

If what you want is for the student to first fill up the form, then followed by the parent, then you can enable the Signing Order so that only after the student filled and signed the form, will the parent receive the filled-up document for them to sign it. Then everyone will receive the completed signed document that has all the signatures on it.

I can see that you already created a Signable Document, have you already tried the Signing Order feature? Let me show you how to enable this:

    1. In Sign Builder, go to the Send tab.
    2. Toggle the Signing Order button to ON.
    3. Click and Drag the Six Dots icon on the left side of the Roles field. You will see the number there and depending on the signing order, the number 1 will be the first one to receive the Signable Document.

That's it. You can also check out this guide on How to Use Jotform Sign. If that’s not exactly what you’re looking for, can you explain a bit more so I can help you better?

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.
