I am going on a field trip with my students and I want them to be able to use this form to select which group they would like to be in. I would like to have each group only allow 10 students. As the students fill out the form and select a group, I would like the form to show the remaining spots available in each group. If possible, I would love for them to see who has already signed up to be in that group.

Please let me know which of those options are available and how to set that up.

    Hi Keith,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. If a group can only have 10 students, you can allow the user to select their preferred group using a Gift Registry widget. Let me show you how:

    1. In Form Builder, click on the Add Form Element menu on the left side of the page.
    2. In the Widgets tab, search for the Gift Registry widget, and click on it to add. Let's label it as Group.
    3. Click on the Wand icon. Let students select a group that can only allow 10 students Screenshot 30
    4. In the General Tab, add the name of the group under the items and add the number of available spots in the curly brackets.
    5. Enter 1 in the Max Selection to let the student select only one option and then click on the Update widget button. Let students select a group that can only allow 10 students Screenshot 41

That's it. Unfortunately, the form will not display which student has selected which group. However, once a student selects a group and submits the form, the number of available spots will be reduced.

That's it. Here's the cloned version of the form you can test and clone.

Give it a try and reach out again if you have any other questions.
