Unable to upload PDF file to create Smart PDF form

    Hi.

I am trying to create a new form from a PDF (screenshot attached). I am not even sure if JotForm can do what I am asking.

I am getting the message "Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'type')". - see attached

Is there a way to do it, or is this PDF too complex?

I couldn't upload the PDF for you to see.

    Hello Jorge,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. We’re sorry if you’re having trouble importing the PDF file to create a Smart PDF form. I’ll do my best to help you out.

The PDF file may be too complex or the texts are too small, so our Smart PDF form builder cannot detect them. We can try to upload the PDF file here on our end, please upload it on Google Drive and share the link to download it.

Once we hear back from you, we will further assist you.

    Hello Jorge,

Thank you for sharing the public link. I was able to upload the PDF file on my end. However, the form fields generated were distorted due to the PDF file having lots of fields to be mapped. The good thing is there is a chance to import this on your end and you should work with the form fields to map them to the original PDF file, you can check this guide on how to link your online form fields with PDF through Smart PDF forms. Please see the screenshot below:

Please try to clear the cache of your forms by following this guide on how to clear your forms cache. I also suggest clearing the cache and cookies of the browser you use most of the time. Below are the guides on how you can do it:

    Clear Cache – Google Chrome

    Clear Cache – Mozilla Firefox

    Clear History – Safari

You can also try to use other browsers, devices, internet connections, and an incognito browser to see if they will give you different results.

Give it a try and let us know if you have other questions
