Photo uploads accessible by others?

Hi,

Some of our forms offer the option to take a photo. One user has just tried that, and asked where can they see the photo they took. I looked into the database this form sends the data to, and there I found a link to jotform.com/uploads/roope/, followed by a subfolder (long numeric string), followed by the image file name. So far, so good.

When I'm logged into my account, I can view the image fine. However, when I'm logged out, get a 404 error. I'm assuming therefore that anyone else trying to access the image will also get a 404. Is there a way of making the images available to others (anyone with the link)? And/or can I add an integration that sends these images (and nothing else) to eg. my Google Drive folder?

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. You are seeing the error 404 page because uploaded images are secured to be accessible only to the form owner as default. It is possible to allow access of the file to anyone by disabling the unchecking the Require log-in to view uploaded files in your account. Let me show you how:

1. Login to your Jotform account and click your Avatar/Profile picture on the right side of the screen.
2. In the dropdown, click on Settings, or click on this link to go directly to your Settings page.
3. Now, go to the Security tab on your left-hand menu.
4. Uncheck the Require log-in to view uploaded files under the Privacy section.
