Hi,
We are seeing Invalid characters show up in our transactions, getting error thrown when submitting a form.
The customer is dead in the water for submitting these forms.
Thanks
Dave

Hi Dave,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I checked your form and tested it to see if I could replicate the issue, but everything was working properly. The warning only shows up when invalid characters are added in the name fields. Check out the screencast below to see my results:
If you are referring to the screenshot that you sent, I checked your form and saw that a Short Text element was used for the prompt, with the default value as the error message itself:
Please note that with this approach, an additional column will be added in the submissions table with the value that is set in the element. Which is why, it's always present in every submission. To avoid confusion, you can hide those columns instead. We also have a guide about How to Show and Hide Columns in Jotform Tables that you can check out.
If that’s not exactly what you’re looking for, can you explain a bit more, so I can help you better?
After we hear back from you, we’ll have a better idea of what’s going on and how to help.

Ok, thanks Shane. We are troubleshooting an issue and we saw this message. This is not the underlying issue, I just created a new ticket.
