Can the text can be changed (or hidden) in the field when "Other" is selected?

The text can be changed (or hidden) in a selection field that has the option of "Other". As in a screenshot?

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Currently, it is not possible to change the placeholder of the Other option in the Single Choice element. So, I've gone ahead and submitted a feature request to our Developers for this functionality. When or if it's developed depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users request it.

In the meantime, you can manually include the alternative option in the list of choices and add a short text field to display it when selected. However, please note that this will result in a separate field being created and should be added manually to your PDF. Let me show you how to do it:

1. Instead of enabling the Other option, disable it, and add it on the list of choices:
2. Add a Short Text element, you can then add a Placeholder and set it as Hidden by clicking the Gear Icon and navigating to Advance tab:
3. Map the new Other option and Short Text field to the PDF by clicking Add to PDF and map it to the correct location:
4. Add the Condition below to show the Short Text element when Other option is selected:
