Submission import limit question

Hi there, we just purchased a new JotForm Gold plan. We have around 550,000 historical submissions from our previous form solution, which I have in a CSV file. We'd like to import these historical submissions into JotForm so that all our submissions are in one place going forward. I found this article which describes how to import submissions from a CSV file, which looks like exactly what we need. However, I see on the pricing page that we're limited to 100,000 submissions per month. So I have two questions:

    1) Do imports like this count against the monthly submissions such that, to upload 500,000+ records, we'd have to stagger over several months to not hit the limits?

    2) In the import, can I include submission date in the past so that the historical submissions will show up in the proper chronology or will it look like they all submitted today?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

No,import does not count as submission as you will be importing your already submitted records.Monthly submissions limit is count of submissions that is being made by clicking the 'SUBMIT' button.

So,you can import your 500,000+ records without worrying about your submission limit.

    2) In the import, can I include submission date in the past so that the historical submissions will show up in the proper chronology or will it look like they all submitted today?

If the submission record has date stamp of submitted date and time then your imported submission will also show the same date time stamp.

In the import submission app you can customize which fields you want to add to your newly imported data,so if the data have the date field then you can select that and it will show the original datetime stamp.

Here's how to use the Submission import app

    Hope this helps!
