    Hello,

We have reached the Upload space limit even if we use Dropbox to upload files on our forms.

    Is this expected?

    Thank you

Please note that integrating with a third party cloud storage app such as Dropbox will not override the JotForm upload space limit. So, you may delete submissions that contain uploaded files in order to free up your upload space or upgrade to a paid plan that provides more space.

Let us know if you have more questions.

This does not makes sense to me: if I'm using dropbox to store my files, how could this affect Jotform storage? Why should I pay twice to sore uploaded files?

Also there are many conflicting answer on this matter: Victoria_K (Jotform Support) in another thread says that:

JotForm storage is not used when you integrate the form to third party services with API key.  (Dropbox uses API key)

JotForm storage is not used when you integrate the form to third party services with API key.

Which thread this is related to?

Please note that when you submit form with file upload, the file is first uploaded to JotForm server and then only a copy is sent to the integrated dropbox folder or any other integration. It is not possible to bypass Jotform server and directly store it in your Dropbox folder.

If you do not want uploads to be stored in JotForm server, I would suggest you to please take advantage of our "Auto Delete Submissions" app which will delete the submission record once it is received. Since deleting a submission record also deletes uploaded file as well which will fit into your requirement.

You may like to integrate your form with google spreadsheet to ensure that a copy of the submission data is stored in google spreadsheet before it is deleted.

I understand that file should first be stored in the Jotform server, but once the y have been successfully sent to dropbox, there is no reason to keep them on your servers too.

Users should at least be able to choose the file retaining policy without being forced to delete submissions data to free some space.

I understand. Unfortunately, it is not possible to clear the storage space without deleting the associated submission. The integrated third party storage space can only be used as a backup.

Alternatively, as mentioned in the other thread you may consider using the third party File Upload services so that the upload space in your account is not consumed.

    Thanks!
