Using first name in an auto generated email

Hello

I am trying to send a follow up email using the {name} form field.

There are 2 fields in this first name and last name.  How do I just get the first name to appear?

You may use the field name as follows: 

{name:first}

Make sure that the "name" field is the correct one.
