When someone uploads a file that is connected to my Dropbox account does it still get uploaded and stored at JotForm?

I did a test with a form by connecting it to my Dropbox account. My question is when someone uploads a file that's connected to my Dropbox account, does it still get uploaded and stored at JotForm? If so, how long are files kept and is there a way to clear out my file storage automatically--for example, files get deleted every 7 days?

Yes. Because you are using JotForm form, the submission upload will also have a copy of the submission uploaded file in Jotform.

And the other copy will be sent to your Dropbox because you were using Dropbox integration.

The submissions and uploaded file in JotForm will remain as long as you do not delete them.

Should you want to remove the submission and uploads in JotForm, you can delete them after. You can delete the submissions in your form View Submissions page.

There is also another method to auto delete submissions after each submission. You can use the Auto Delete Submissions app on your account.

If I use the Auto Delete option is there a chance that submissions will be
deleted from JotForm before they’re transferred to Dropbox or is there
something built in that tells JotForm that it’s been submitted to Dropbox
    and now can be deleted?
Also reading further into the auto delete, other users say that it only
deletes form data but not the files submitted by the user. Can you clarify?

When you use Dropbox Integration, the integration is processed first before the app kicks in. In other words, you'll receive a copy of data on your Dropbox account and as soon as the data is sent to the JotForm server, it would be automatically deleted.

About the uploaded files, this was a bug and I believe was fixed long ago.

Just so I understand correctly, If someone is uploading a 1 GB file in my
form, JotForm shows the uploading percentage and progress. Once that
reaches 100% and since you said it processes the Dropbox integration first,
does it mean it’s already uploaded to Dropbox, or does the 100% mean it’s
uploaded to JotForm and then it will take time for it to transfer to
    Dropbox?

Hey Jeff - Let me show a quick example to better explain the workflow. This scenario includes an integration with Dropbox, while using the Auto Delete Submissions app.

    1. User fills out your form and submits it

    2. Data gets saved to your Dropbox Account

    3. Data gets saved to your form's SUBMISSIONS PAGE

    4. Auto Delete Submission app kicks in and deletes the data from the SUBMISSIONS PAGE alone

This would mean the data that was sent to Dropbox will remain intact.
