Wordpress.com: The form does not appear

This doesn't work for me either. Web page is here:

    https://bronwyneley.com/

The Jotform is supposed to show in the sidebar on the right, but it doesn't.

The form doesn't show if I create a new post and put it in the regular content area either. And it doesn't show if I switch themes to any of the core Wordpress themes either...

I see that you have added a button to your form instead of embedding it. Would you please embed the form again so we can inspect it there?

I can also suggest to try iframe code to embed form: Getting-the-Form-iFrame-Code

It should work with any platform like WP.

Let us know how it goes. Thank you.

    Hi Victoria

    Thanks for your response.

Unfortunately iframe tags aren't compatible with WordPress.com installations - I'd already tried it.

I have used the button method because the embedded form doesn't work. Note that the embedded form is still within the widgets of the sidebar, I've left it there.

Here's the screenshot of the back-end widgets section. The embedded form should appear underneath the existing button in the sidebar, but nothing shows on the front-end at all?

I made some tests on my end and was able to replicate the issue using the embed code of your form.
    [embed]https://form.jotform.co/form/90231945649867[/embed]

I have now elevated this issue to the next level support so that they can investigate the problem. We will notify you here and on your email at once when a status update is available.

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Hi Guys

Just wondered if there was any update on this? I would've thought that a broken integration with the most common CMS in the world should probably have been fixed by now, unless it's an issue on the Wordpress-end...?

    Thanks in advance!

    Dave.

Unfortunately, this issue is still not resolved. The priority of this issue is set to important. Our developers will update you via this thread if there is any update.

    Hello Dave,

First off, we are sorry for the late update.

We have recently released a patch that fixes this bug. Embedded forms should now display with a proper height.

If the issue persists on your end, try replacing the "form" subdomain on your form url to "www".

For example, https://www.jotform.co/form/90231945649867 instead of https://form.jotform.co/form/90231945649867.

This is to circumvent a WordPress.com caching issue.

    Hope this works for you.

    Best,

    Hi Neil

    Thanks for the update.

Unfortunately I can't see any difference I'm afraid. I've changed the URL to be www instead of form and in neither case the form appears. I also left it a couple of days and also cleared cache, etc etc to see if there was a caching issue.

    You can review yourself here:

    https://bronwyneley.com/

The embedded form is supposed to appear underneath the 'Follow' button in the sidebar. The code I have used is

    [embed]https://form.jotform.co/form/90231945649867[/embed]

    and

    [embed]https://www.jotform.co/form/90231945649867[/embed]

Unfortunately neither shows the form in the sidebar =(

Any other suggestions at this point?

I look forward to your reply.

    Dave.

    Hi there,

WordPress.com does not allow embed codes anywhere other than posts and pages on Premium plans and below.

You can do any of the following instead:

    1. Embed the form onto a page or post

    2. Insert a link to your form on the side bar

Please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help.

    Kind regards,

    Hi Neil

    Thanks for your quick reply.

No worries - I'll leave the link to the form as it is for now.

    Cheers!

    Dave.
