The guide that you are referring to is an example of how to prepopulate a jotform via URL parameters.
If you want to pass data from one jotform to another one after submission, please follow this guide: https://www.jotform.com/help/351-How-to-Automatically-Pass-Form-Data-to-Another-Form
If the data will be passed from a form that belongs to another platform to your jotform, we don't have a way to set that up.
