Send SMS to customer when they fill out a form

    Hi team!

I need to create a form that that when the client hits "send" or "submit" at the end, besides sending them the normal "Thank you, we received your message" email, also sends them a text message to the phone number they added to the form. Is this possible with JotForm? I understand sometimes the phone number the client enters is an office number, in which case my text to them would go nowhere. But in cases where they included a cellphone, it accomplishes what I'm looking for.

    Thank you!

There is a widget to verify users with SMS:

    https://widgets.jotform.com/widget/sms_confirmation

You can also integrate JotForm with Zapier and send SMS notifications to your users:

    https://zapier.com/zapbook/jotform/sms

It is also possible to send SMS messages via email to send responders to users:

    https://zapier.com/zapbook/jotform/twilio

There is also an option to use Burst. It will send SMS messages and collect customer information:

Thanks Ivaylok. Zapier is a paid servicer correct? So is there a way to this with JotForm out of the box? Thank you for your time.

Yes, Zapier is a paid service. Unfortunately, we do not have an option to send SMS. I would recommend you to check the workaround provided by my colleague here:

    https://www.jotform.com/answers/1434385-How-do-I-send-SMS-text-messages

We added this to our feature requests list. We will consider implementing it in the future.

Thanks Ivaylok. I'm not clear, are the samples under:

    2. Through Webhook but this requires API from your SMS Provider and a custom PHP script that would send the message after submission.

    ...

Is this for the user that submitted the form to receive the text? Or for my sales rep to receive the text? I know how to send texts to a specific sales rep # using the carrier code, I want to be able to text the person that just filled out the form.

If the answer is "yes, send to user who submitted form", where on my JotForm do I add the PHP code shown at the "SMS Notification - Send SMS after form submission using your SMS Provider's API." link?

    Thank you sir!

    Hello,

It will work for both user defined number and defined phone number.

You need to save the code as a PHP file, upload the file to your web server, get its absolute URL and have that URL as the Thank You Page URL in the form settings.

    Please refer to the guide below on how to set up the custom Thank You URL;

    https://www.jotform.com/help/38-Redirecting-Users-to-a-Different-Page

I'd like to add that Zapier is free, but your Zap runs every 15 minutes only for the free plan. You are also limited to 100 tasks. Please check Zapier's pricing here https://zapier.com/pricing for more details.
