Date Reservation Widget: How can I release a date if my customer has cancelled a reservation?

So I am building this form and I am using this widget: "Date Reservation" from the widget library. So I understand that once a user selects a date, it becomes unavailable for all other users. My question is, if my customer comes back to me and cancels a reservation, how do I make that reserved date available for other users?

    Hello,

The Date Reservation Widget was purposely designed that way. This widget is meant to handle reservations so once a date has been reserved, it's should not be available to anyone else.

If your aim is to re-enable a certain date when a person has cancelled the reservation, the only way around it is to delete the respective submission for that selected date. However, this would mean you would lose the submission data of the user who selected and reserved that date. Deleting submission is irreversible and can not be undone.

As an example, see the screen cast below. The Date Reservation Widget initially has 1 reserved date (JUNE 18). If I wanted to free up the JUNE 18 date, I would need to delete the submission of the user who reserved that date.
