    Hello,
I would like to know if it's possible to get my data from my multiple choice as a shorter word I defined to input it in another app.

    Like below :
The activities for kids = Kids
    The exhibitions = Expo

    Is that possible ?

I red that https://www.jotform.com/answers/1038695-How-to-assign-a-value-on-a-drop-down-field-when-an-option-is-selected-in-another-drop-down but it doesn't look the same in my admin.

    Kind regards,
    India

That's not how it works. You have to pass that field to a Form Calculation Widget to get its calculation value. Here's a full instruction: How to perform calculation in the form

Or here's a quick visual guide:

Ok thank you I managed to do it but I don't want to show that input and when I hide it via the conditions it doesn't save anything at all... How to avoid that ?

There is option in Form Settings related to Clear Hidden Field Values result.

    1568681549zzz 2019 09 17 08 Screenshot 10

    1. Clear On Being Hidden -- the field value will be cleared when hidden

    2. Clear on Submit -- the field value will be cleared on form submission

    3. Don't Clear -- the field value will not be cleared in any way

Try set the form settings on your form to "Don't Clear" option.

All field values that uses show/hide conditions will not be cleared or affected by the condition settings.

I hope this help. Let us know if you need further assistance.
