I sent an email (see below) on 11/29 requesting to downgrade my plan and refund the subscription amount but I haven't received a confirmation from you guys. Please reply. Thank you.

Since your subscription is based over PayPal, you will need to do it manually, which you can do by following the steps here:
How can I cancel my PayPal subscription?
Do let us know if you face any issues and we would be happy to request our billing department to cancel the same for you.
Once you do, feel free to let us know and we can check for you and confirm if the cancellation was made as well.
