Question About Payment Widget - Authorize.net

I have read your related information about using the authorize.net widget and stating that JotForm does not retain any payment card information.  However, I remain somewhat unclear as to the following:

Assume I insert the authorize.net widget into my form and use it to collect payment card data and charge accordingly.

Once the customer enters the card information:

At what point in the form is it transmitted to authorize.net?

How is the customer informed as to the success (or not) of the transaction?

After the form is submitted, is the payment card information deleted or is it included in the form submission database (which, in my case, ultimately becomes an Excel row)?

Thank you for contacting us, we will be glad to assist you with your questions.

    1) The credit card information is sent encrypted to Authorize.net directly when the form is submitted.

    2) The form will be submitted only if the transaction is successful. If you want the user to be notified about the transaction, you can create an Autoresponder: https://www.jotform.com/help/26-Setting-up-an-Autoresponder-Email

    3) Please note that we don't allow collecting credit card information, so the credit card information is not stored in our servers, in other words, the data is only sent encrypted to Authorize.net.

Let us know if you have more questions, we will be glad to assist you.
