Standard PayPal won't let me create a subscription payment

Hi-

On your help page it indicates that I can use standard PayPal to create subscriptions:

However, when I've tried to use it, there is no option for subscriptions. It seems that it will only allow me to create subscriptions with a PayPal Pro account. Is that the case or am I missing something? 

I'd rather not have to pay for a PayPal Pro account if I don't need to.

As we see the screenshot, we notice that you are using PayPal checkout integration that doesn't support recurring payments. In order to setup recurring payments, you may consider using PayPal (Standard) integration.
