Form edit - new submission date?

We use JotForm for our annual admission forms so we can allow our returning customers to check their information and renew the date without having to complete a new form. The only problem this presents for us is that the submission date does not change to the edit date. Is there a way to resolve this?

Thank you for contacting us. The submission date will remain the same, as it is just an edit of the original submission. You could add a Date Picker field, and set it to capture the current date:

If you want the user to make a new submission with previously submitted data, then you need to follow this guide: https://www.jotform.com/help/351-How-to-Automatically-Pass-Form-Data-to-Another-Form

Instead of passing the data to another form, send it to the same form URL. Please note that the user will need to make a new submission from the scratch first, then the rest of submissions can be done through the pre-filled link.
