How do we add N/A to a field that does not have data?

If a "short text entry" is left blank, is there a way to show the blank field as "N/A" rather than no value, when you insert the form field within the "text" element?

Also, is there a way to pull data from one form and prepopulate that in the "form field" within the "text" element in another form?

Yes, it is possible to insert the N/A into the short text entry field when the option is not selected conditionally.

May we know the form in question where you want to implement this so that we can show a demo to it.

Please check this guide to pass the data from one form to another. You can get the data in a field in form 2 from form 1. Next, map this field in a text element.
