Quiz App: Request to update the app in general.

Would it be possible to make making tests easier? I know there is the "quiz app" but it really needs a redesign. Even on Google forms it is easier to make a test self grade.

Here are two things I thought would be nice to include, besides a more intuitive interface:

    1. A way to choose the value of each question.

    2. Multiple choice. The ability to choose that if someone chooses the wrong answer the question is marked incorrect and they are not credited for the question at all.

Look at what I had to go through to make a test that fit my needs https://form.jotform.com/200340511161839 (200+ fields and 100+ conditions!!). (I disabled cloning it to stop students from seeing the correct answer. You have my permission to clone it)

Thanks a ton for the amazing program you guys made! And for the Educational discount which you give us!

Thank you for the feedback. We do have some feature that can be used to calculate values without using the quiz app.

    1. A way to choose the value of each question.

It is possible to assign values directly to your options rather than using conditions.

    2. Multiple choice. The ability to choose that if someone chooses the wrong answer the question is marked incorrect and they are not credited for the question at all.

You may assign the score 1 to the correct answer while 0 for the wrong answer.

Then you may use the form calculation widget to calculate the total.

Some of the things you suggested are already implemented in my form.

    1. That is not assigning a value to each question, that is assigning a value to each answer. (That part of the test which you screenshoted is to select which test they want to fill out)

    2. Lets say there are three answers to the question 2 of them are correct. If the person selects the wrong one he should get no points even if also selects the correct one (what is stoping a student from selecting all three options?). Take a look at my backward solution.

I happen to know these things, but for your average teacher, making a test on Jotform is complicated. I was trying to show someone, and I got questions like "Where is the grade?", "How can I tell the student that he passed?", "What if it is a short text question, can I batch grade them?" and more. The process is possible but not intuitive or easy. Look at how Google does it for Google Classrooms.

Another complication I had was that I needed the final grade in Google Sheets, and the test was made as the weeks went by (because it was so tedious to create). The Sheets integration doesn't handle adding questions without breaking the integration, so I needed to make a "Final Grade" field and update the field with the grade.

Please note that form fields are generic fields which you need to add in form and then add calculation logic to achieve your requirement. I understand your requirement but those are not generic requirement and may vary for one user to another.

Google classrooms is a separate app. Are you looking to build an app something similar to google classroom? Please confirm and we will escalate it to our backend team.

For now, the best option available is to use "Quiz Form" app which will help you build forms for student assessment.

I understand that JotForm is not only for teachers, but I am sure there would be a lot of teachers that would use it for assessments if it were simpler (the quiz app is really outdated).
I am not looking for Google Classrooms, rather for assessments (Google Forms) made in Google Classrooms which have features that make it easier to make forms that are tests.

I have opened a feature request for this, although we cannot provide an ETA, we will keep you updated via this ticket.

    Thanks.
