Double emails arriving with submissions

    Hi

    I have contacted you twice before.

    I have a user of one of our forms receiving the submission twice, sometimes a few days apart.

    I have tried all the suggestions you have offered but it is still occurring.

    We are electricians, and the form is being used as a site visit record, so we each send several every day.

    For some reason his are coming in twice, I have this form duplicated about 20 times for 20 different electricians and it seems only his has the issue.

    Can you please have a good look and see if you can help track what is going wrong.

    Hi,

    We apologize for the inconvenience.

    Duplicate submissions usually happens when the Thank you page is reloaded. The user must have not close his/her submission page(thank you page) properly, so when he opens up the browser again with a cache data of the previous form, sometimes it is forced to reload, resubmitting the previously entered data. 

    You've mentioned that all suggestions provided by some of my colleagues, though I checked your form https://form.jotform.com/201707182020845, and there's no captcha added or any unique submissions or questions set up. I'd suggest to take advantage of those features to prevent getting duplicate submissions.

    Hi thanks

    I added a captcha, but this now takes the user down a path which would be OK if it was a one off servery form or something a use fills out once, but this form is being completed up to 10 times a day.

    I noted another user having the same issue, most of us use Android phones, they both have IPhones, not sure if that is relevant.

    Is there a better way of closing the form when Submit is tapped or can you explain how close the submission page correctly on an IPhone

    I think there's a way to automatically close all tabs in safari, but upon researching the feature is only supported if the Iphone's version is IOS 13 or later.

    You can also redirect the form to an external page after submission, that would at least prevent duplicate submissions coming from the default thank you page.
