Calculated field % discount depending on how many items they have.

    Hi. We’re looking to have an order form where they select the quantity of items.
    Depending on how many items they have, they receive a percentage discount. Is there a way to do this in a calculated field? I tried; but couldn’t see any IF statements.

    My long work around was to have a quantity field, which then used condition (in settings) to say “if greater than 2” add x to another field - the unit cost. I then had another calculated field to multiple the quantity and unit cost. It’s not gonna be very flexible, as we have various discounts and would require lots of conditions. Any suggestions? We don’t need the working calculations to be visible to user, providing it does it correctly.

    eg:

    1 = 10 each

    2-9 = 8 each

    10 = 7 each ...and so on.

    this would be doing fixed costs. Where as ideally it would be a calculation based on a percent.

    thanks

    Thank you for contacting us. What is the form where you want to set up the discounts per quantity?

    Please note that if you are using a payment field, the discounts can be set up by enabling special pricing on the quantity field, please check this guide: https://www.jotform.com/help/265-What-is-Special-Pricing
